How much K plants absorb from soil
During their development,
plants absorb micronutrients
from the soil, so with every
yield the soil becomes poorer. The higher the yield, the greater the amount of nutrients the soil loses. According to the International Potash Institute (IPI), the average yield of rice (5 t / ha) results in the removal from soil of 110 kg of nitrogen, 34 kg of phosphorus (P2O5) and 156 kg of potash
(K2O)
per hectare!
Crops take
more potassium
from the soil than
any other nutrient.
